What I actually do all day

I design and build websites, and I make sure they get found. In practice that splits across three things: web design on WordPress and in hand-written code, SEO, AEO, and GEO, and the technical plumbing — CRM integrations, DNS, email deliverability, migrations, automation — that most designers hand off to someone else.

I have been building on WordPress for roughly ten years, and I have spent more than fifteen years managing client relationships and business development across web design, SEO, and AI integration. That second number matters more than it sounds. Most of this job is not writing code. It is understanding what a business actually needs, and translating a technical answer into terms an owner or a decision-maker can evaluate — in healthcare, legal, financial, and professional services especially, where the person signing off is rarely technical.

The work does not stop at launch

A good share of what I do is long-running rather than project-shaped: sites built years ago that still get new pages, SEO retainers managed month to month, and hosting that quietly needs updating, backing up, and occasionally rescuing.

That shapes how I build. A site somebody has to maintain in three years gets built differently from one that only has to survive a launch — documented, kept off unnecessary plugins, and handed over so your team can actually run it.

How I work with clients

Entirely remotely, and by choice. The case studies on this site include clients in the United States, Australia, and across the European Union, and not one of those projects would have gone better with me in the room. Everything runs over email, scheduled calls, and a staging URL you can open whenever you want to see where things stand.

What that buys you is the freedom to hire on fit. You are not picking between the two developers who happen to be nearby — and I am not padding a quote to cover a drive.
