The situation

EARP's buyers are non-EU manufacturers who discover, often abruptly, that GPSR and CE directives require them to appoint an EU-based Responsible Person before they can keep selling on Amazon, eBay, Etsy, or Shopify. They arrive frightened, on a deadline, and unclear on what the law actually requires of them. The competing option — letting an importer or distributor act as Responsible Person — is a conflict of interest most sellers do not know to worry about.

What I did

Messaging and content strategy

Led with the requirement and the consequence in plain language, then made independence the core argument: EARP has no competing sales interest in the products it represents. Foregrounded the 25+ years and 2,000+ companies as the trust signals, and the 48-hour response as the answer to buyers arriving on a compliance deadline.

SEO, AEO & GEO

This is the pillar's clearest case. Buyers search in regulation language — GPSR, CE marking, Authorized Representative, Responsible Person — and increasingly ask AI assistants what the rules require. Built the Services and Products architecture so each regulation and each product category is separately addressable, with answers stated directly rather than buried, so they extract cleanly into AI answers.

Design and build

WordPress build with the Products section organised by category — electronics, toys, baby, pet, sporting goods, household — plus resources and a compliance reporting flow.

The outcome

Regulation-language searches and product categories each have a page that answers the question directly, which is what both search engines and AI assistants need to cite a source.

EARP ended up with a page for every way a frightened seller might phrase the problem — by regulation, by product category, by marketplace. Each states its answer directly rather than burying it, which is precisely what a search engine needs to feature it and what an AI assistant needs to cite it. For buyers who increasingly ask an assistant before they ask a consultant, that is the whole game.
